Dr. Jason Miller, DO

Dr. Jason Miller, DO is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with 16 years of clinical experience. He completed his training at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. Dr. Miller served in the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel during the Afghanistan War. He has worked in the military, private and forensic (legal) settings. Dr. Miller has served as the Clinical Director for The Center of Healthcare Services (CHCS) in Bexar County, and as the Lead Investigator at the Clinical Trials of Texas performing research in the areas of Depression, PTSD, Alzheimer's, Diabetes, and multiple other primary-care and mental health-related topics.

Dr. Miller originally trained to be a Family Physician. While practicing in this field he observed a number of his patients struggled with depression and the stresses of life. He had been taught how to extend his patient's lives but found he knew little about how to increase their quality of life. Dr. Miller began his study of psychiatry with a desire to help people live fuller, happier lives. He quickly found that his background in Primary Care allowed him unique insight into the complex interplay between physiological and mental. He discovered that he enjoyed taking the time with his patients to really understand their lives and circumstance. As a result, he found himself drawn to psychotherapy as much as psychopharmacology.
